Lucknow: Congress National General Secretary Priyanka Gandhi seems to be very active in view of the early 2022 assembly elections in Uttar Pradesh. Tell us that Priyanka addressed a pledge rally at Champadevi Park in Gorakhpur on Sunday, October 31. During this time, he had reiterated his 7 pledges. Priyanka's election promises to the people and the figures that have come out about those promises make it difficult to fulfil these promises.

Congress is trying to come back to power with big promises. But the figures that have emerged on these promises do not show any coordination anywhere. In fact, the UP government's budget for 2021-2022 is Rs. In such a situation, if you pay attention to the expenditure incurred on fulfilling Priyanka Gandhi's promises:-

Free treatment up to Rs 10 lakh: According to one crore poor families, if 50 lakh families are given the benefit of this promise, about Rs 5 lakh crore, equivalent to the UP government's budget, will be spent only on this scheme.

25,000,000/- per year to all poor families in UP: There are about one crore poor families in the state. 25,000 to a family will cost a total of Rs.25,000 crores.

Jobs to 20 lakh youth: As promised, if an average government employee gets a monthly salary of Rs. 25,000, the state government will be burdened with Rs. 60,000 crore annually.

Smartphones to college girls: This year 11,17,780 girls have passed in 12th standard. On average, if a mobile is priced at 10,000 rupees, it will cost Rs.1118 crores.

Wheat-paddy MSP Rs 2500 and sugarcane MSP Rs 400: Looking at the figures, 68 lakh Metric Tonnes of paddy was procured in 2021-22 at a cost of Rs 17000 crore. On the other hand, in 2021, 1027.50 tonnes of sugarcane was sown in the state at a cost of Rs. 41,1000 crore.

Priyanka Gandhi has made some other promises to the people, but fulfilling 5 promises will cost about Rs 6.5 lakh crore, while the UP government's budget is 5.5 lakh crore. The question arises as to how Congress will fulfil the promises Priyanka is making to the people. Priyanka's promises include full loan waiver of farmers, electricity bill waiver, scooty to girl students, but where the fund will come from is a big question.
