Dehradun: In view of assembly elections 2022, almost all parties have fielded their candidates in Uttarakhand. Following this, national general secretary Priyanka Gandhi released the party's manifesto in Dehradun through a virtual rally in the state and promised that if the Congress government is formed in the state, up to 200 units of electricity will be provided free of cost.

At the same time, while making several promises like giving Rs 40,000 annually to five lakh families of Uttarakhand, Gandhi also took on the BJP's state and central governments and described the BJP as a failure on many issues. Priyanka Gandhi, who is in charge of the Congress' election campaign for UP, attacked the BJP while launching the Congress' mega campaign in Uttarakhand. She said the government had promised a double engine but petrol and diesel were so expensive that their engines were stalled. Not only this, but Gandhi also accused the BJP of not bringing any change in Uttarakhand in 5 years except for changing 3 CMs. Gandhi also lashed out at the BJP governments on issues such as price rise, employment and women's safety.
