New Delhi: With the martyrdom of 20 soldiers of the Indian Army on the Line of Actual Control (LAC), the country is in a rage and there is a demand to boycott China everywhere. Meanwhile, opposition party Congress has raised the issue of awarding the contract of Delhi-Meerut Semi High-Speed Rail Corridor to the Chinese company. Recently, the Chinese company got this contract.

Congress General Secretary Priyanka Gandhi Vadra wrote on Twitter on Thursday that, "Our 20 soldiers have been martyred. The central government should give a strong message but the government has adopted a strategy like kneeling by handing over the contract of Delhi-Meerut Semi-High Speed Rail Corridor to the Chinese company. All Indian companies are also able to build this corridor. Priyanka has also shared a link. In which it is written that the semi-high speed rail corridor is proposed between Delhi-Meerut. Delhi, Ghaziabad will connect Meerut with this project. Of the 82.15 km long RRTS, 68.03 km will be elevated and 14.12 km underground. The task of making the underground stretch has been given to the Chinese company.

The lowest bid for the underground stretch of the Delhi-Meerut RRTS project has been bid by Shanghai Tunnel Engineering Company Limited (STEC), a Chinese company. STEC had bid for Rs 1126 crore. Everyone is opposing the award of the contract to the Chinese company.
