Lucknow: Congress General Secretary Priyanka Gandhi has supported the demand of Congress interim President Sonia Gandhi to increase the quota for reservation for OBC students in All India Quota in medical and dental institutions of the states and Union Territories. Sonia Gandhi had sent a letter to PM Modi demanding an increase in the reservation for OBC students in the All India Quota in the medical and dental institutions of the states.

Congress national general secretary Priyanka Gandhi tweeted that, Congress president Sonia Gandhi has raised the legitimate demand for providing reservation to OBC class students in medical institutions of state and union territories under national quota in seats being filled by NEET. This is a demand for social justice. Hopefully, the central government will implement this.

Prior to Priyanka, former Congress President Rahul Gandhi had supported Sonia Gandhi's demand to increase reservation for OBC students in the All India Quota in the medical and dental institutions of the states. Rahul Gandhi had tweeted that, 'Affirmative action is important for social justice. I fully support the Congress President's demand to increase reservation for OBC students in the All India Quota in medical and dental seats of medical institutions of the state and union territories.
