Lucknow: Congress' National General Secretary Priyanka Gandhi Vadra has paid tribute to TV journalist Neelanshu Shukla who lost her life due to COVID19 in Uttar Pradesh. Priyanka said that "He had been fighting the war against Corona for many days, may God give his family the strength to bear the suffering in this hour of grief. Neelanshu Shukla worked with many large media groups. Hee was working as a reporter for India Today in Lucknow. Neelanshu Shukla was originally a resident of Kanpur".

Priyanka Gandhi said, "Nilanshu Shukla, the young journalist of Lucknow, is not among us. He was fighting a war against Corona for several days. Neelanshu Shukla was a promising journalist. Many times I have seen him working. Emotional tribute. May God give his family the strength to suffer in this hour of grief. I had also raised the issue earlier that journalists are doing important work of giving information in this hour of crisis. The UP government should provide financial assistance to Neelanshu Shukla's family and insurance cover to all journalists. ''

On 20 August Neelanshu himself had informed about his corona positive report. Neelanshu had told that his corona investigation report has been found positive, so those who have come in contact with him should get their test done. Neelanshu had told that he has been instructed to stay in home isolation.
