Lucknow: Congress Party National General Secretary Priyanka Gandhi Vadra addressed a press conference today (Tuesday). Priyanka said that ''today there is hatred in power, I want to change it. It can only be changed by women. If the country has to be taken away from casteism and religion and taken towards the politics of equality, women will have to come forward.''

Priyanka Gandhi Vadra further said that today our first pledge has decided that the Congress party will give 40 percent tickets to women in the upcoming assembly elections. Congress National General Secretary Priyanka Gandhi said that ''when women's participation in UP's politics increases, their participation at the Centre will also increase. I am currently in charge of UP. Women who are women are not coming together and becoming a force. They are also being divided into castes. The idea is that women have to rise above caste and state and fight unitedly.''

Priyanka Gandhi Vadra further said 'that if my bus had run, she would have given 50 percent tickets to women. It is a process and begins. I don't see any evil. We will get candidates and fight. They will be strong next time if not this time.' Now it will be interesting to see how true Priyanka Gandhi Vadra can make her promise on the ground.
