New Delhi: Congress Party National General Secretary Priyanka Gandhi Vadra on Wednesday has attacked Uttar Pradesh CM Yogi Adityanath fiercely for women's safety. She has accused the Yogi government that despite the 'Mission Shakti' of the Yogi Adityanath government, crimes against women are increasing in the state.
It is noteworthy that CM Adityanath started the Mission Shakti 'campaign in October to ensure the safety and dignity of women and girls, stern warning that criminals who commit criminal acts with women will have to be dealt with strict punishment. Taking a dig at the BJP government, Gandhi said in a tweet in Hindi that when the government's aim is hypocrisy and false propaganda, the missions are bound to fail.
Priyanka Gandhi says that to stop the cases of increasing crime against women in UP, the Mission Shakti started by the BJP government has failed. She further alleged that a case is being registered after a month against those responsible for burning the woman. Priyanka also tagged a media report which claimed that a 21-year-old girl in Bhadohi was burnt by miscreants inside her house, but a case was registered a month later.
