Lucknow: Priyanka Gandhi Vadra, the National General Secretary of the Congress Party has attacked the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) government of the state over the increasing crime cases in Uttar Pradesh. She claimed that 13 horrific incidents of crime against women have happened in the last one week in UP.

Priyanka Gandhi wrote in twitter, '13 horrific incidents of crime against women have happened in the last one week in UP. According to reports, in 4 incidents the victim was killed or the victims committed suicide. This disturbance of female security distracts. No time for CM Sahab to do a 'special session' on it, yes photo session is on. ' Due to increase in criminal incidents in the state, the opposition is raising questions about law and order in the state. Priyanka Gandhi shared a photo with her tweet, depicting the events that took place in the state in a week from October 9 to October 15.

Let us tell you that on September 14, a 19-year-old Dalit girl was allegedly gang-raped by four boys in a village in Hathras. The girl died on September 29 during treatment at Safdarjung Hospital in Delhi. The victim was cremated near her home on 30 September in the dark of night. Her family alleges that the local police forced her to be cremated as soon as possible. Local police officials said that the last rites were performed according to the wishes of the family.
