New Delhi: In Lucknow, preparations are underway for Priyanka Gandhi Vadra’s first roadshow after her appointment as General Secretary in-charge of Eastern Uttar Pradesh. Vadra will be accompanied by Congress president Rahul Gandhi and Jyotiraditya Scindia, in-charge of Western Uttar Pradesh.

According to a source report, for the first time in 50 years, a member of the Gandhi family will spend 4 days at party headquarters. Earlier in the 70s, former Prime Minister Indira Gandhi and Feroze Gandhi regularly used to visit the party headquarter. Vadra will reach Lucknow’s Amausi airport at 12 noon and from there a 14 km roadshow till party headquarters will be taken out. Priyanka and Rahul will hold a joint press conference soon after the roadshow ends.

Congress party sources informed that , Priyanka will meet with around 13 hours workers every day and all the 42 Lok Sabha seats will be reviewed. Jyotiraditya Scindia will also be present during this interaction. The double-storeyed Congress party headquarters at Mall Avenue which will host Vadra and Scindia has been completely renovated. Congress party workers are gearing up to welcome Vadra and will be donning t-shirts with her face on it.

The Congress president had appointed Priyanka as party in-charge of UP east last month in January.
