Lucknow/New Delhi: In Uttar Pradesh, with Congress all set to kick-off its poll campaign ahead of the 2019 Lok Sabha elections, Priyanka Gandhi Vadra on Sunday released an audio message requesting people to support her in her attempt to create a new culture of politics in the country. Priyanka's message came a day before her scheduled visit to Lucknow on Monday where she will hold a massive roadshow.  

In this 30-second long video, Priyanka, the newly appointed AICC General Secretary for Uttar Pradesh (East) informs the voters and party workers that she would be visiting Lucknow on Monday and urged people to join her in creating a new culture of politics in India. She said as “I'm coming to Lucknow tomorrow and I wish that together we will begin a new politics and you be a part of it. Youth, women and marginalised, everyone's voices will be heard. Let's establish a new future and politics.”

In manner to alike her, a similar video by Jyotiraditya Scindia, Congress General Secretary for Uttar Pradesh (West) was also released by on Sunday. The two Congress leaders would be accompanied by Congress President Rahul Gandhi on the massive roadshow in the capital city of Uttar Pradesh. 

As per source reports, the Congress roadshow will take Priyanka Gandhi from the Lucknow Airport to places like Hazratganj, Alam Bagh, Lal Bagh before culminating at Nehru Bhawan, reports said. The entire roadshow is supposed to last for around six hours. Priyanka, who would be visiting Uttar Pradesh for the first time after announcing her active entry into politics, is also likely to deliver her maiden speech as AICC General Secretary at Lal Bagh in the city. Reports suggested that Priyanka is also expected to hold closed-door meetings with former MPS, MLAs, party office bearers, city presidents, district heads and panchayat chairman for the next three days.
