Today is Priyanka Singh Rawat's birthday. She is an active politician of the Bharatiya Janata Party and is known as "Jiji" in Barabanki. Priyanka is a young and firebrand politician and in addition, she is said to be the fourth-youngest member in the 16th Lok Sabha. She contested the general election from Barabanki seat in Uttar Pradesh. Her father Shri Uttam Ram was an officer of UP PCS. He retired as a block development officer a few years ago.

She was a PCS officer and due to her association with Mayawati, she was well known in the world of politics. Priyanka Singh Rawat has done MA in Political Science and has also has a diploma in Mass Communication and Electronic Journalism. Apart from this, she was the MJP from Bareilly. It is said that Priyanka Singh Rawat used to be a good and promising student in her school days. She married IAS officer Raghunath on December 5, 2007, and now has two daughters.

She defeated PL Punia of Congress, who was the chairman of SC Commission. On 25 March 2015, she became a member of the General Body of the Central Social Welfare Board (CSWB). Prior to that, in 2014 Priyanka Singh Rawat was elected to the 16th Lok Sabha from Barabanki and defeated PL Punia of the Congress party. On 1 September 2014, she became a member of the Standing Committee on Food, Consumer Affairs and Public Distribution. She was appointed member of the Consultative Committee of the Ministry of Women and Child Development.
