Rae Bareli: Congress National General Secretary Priyanka Gandhi Vadra will visit a rail coach factory in Rae Bareli today to meet the employees who are opposing their privatization. In fact, the employees here have been raising their voices against the alleged privatisation of the Railways in the past several days. On the other hand, the Congress party is continuously attacking the Modi government at the Centre over the privatisation of Rae Bareli coach factory.

It may be mentioned that in July, the Railway Board had issued a directive from its various zones to inform the employees who participated in the three-day strike by the trade union against the alleged "privatization" of the Railways. The Board had sent letters to various zones asking them to take strict action. Before the strike, employees had also staged a protest march against 'privatisation'.

In July alone, Sonia Gandhi, mp from the UPA's  Rae Bareli seat, had cornered the Modi government in the Lok Sabha over the issue. Sonia Gandhi had said that "the central government is trying to privatise the factory. Even the trade unions were not taken into confidence. The future of more than 2000 workers and employees is now in danger. "Today Priyanka Vadra is going to visit Rae Bareli to meet her workers and employees.
