NEW DELHI: Congress Party's National General Secretary Priyanka Vadra has attacked the Modi government's silence over the sluggishness in the economy and the employment crisis in various sectors. Priyanka Vadra tweeted on Monday that the government's silence on the slowdown of the country's economy is alarming.

On Monday, Priyanka Vadra tweeted, "The government's gross silence is dangerous. The work of the companies has collapsed. People are being fired, the BJP government is silent. After all, who is responsible for this terrible recession in the country?  In her tweet, Priyanka Vadra has also shared some reports about the slowdown caused by layoffs in several industries and closure of companies.

It is worth mentioning here that India has suffered a major setback due to the sluggish Indian economy in 2018. India has lost its position as the world's fifth-largest economy. In terms of economy, India has now reached the seventh position. On the other hand, PM Modi, along with Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman and senior officials, reviewed the steps taken to improve the state of the economy.
