Guwahati: Six more criminals have been detained on Monday in a police recruitment paper leak case in the country's state of Assam. A total of 19 persons have been taken into custody so far in this case. Director General of Police (DGP) Bhaskar Jyoti said that a reward has been announced on a former police officer and BJP leader involved in the case.
Talking to the press, the DGP said that any number of culprits are found to be involved and they will be taken into custody. He further said that this case is the discovery of former dig PK Datta and Diban Dea. The reward for their arrest has been announced. In the meantime, senior officers of cid, Guwahati police and Assam police have informed about the arrests made so far.
Additional DGP Gyanendra Pratap Singh has given details about the two main culprits. said that Datta and Diban Deka are being searched. A lookout notice has also been issued against Datta. A separate case will be filed in this regard by examining the property illegally earned by them. Earlier, the investigating agencies also raided the residence and hideouts of Diban Deka. The investigation agencies have taken possession of deka laptops, bank passbooks and other documents. At the same time, the investigation is continuing.
