New Delhi [India], May 31 (NT): The Pro Kabaddi League Auction for the sixth season started on May 30 which will end on May 31 in Mumbai.

The center of attraction was Iran's Fazel Atrachali who has became the first player in the history of Pro Kabaddi League to enter the one crore club. He was bought by U Mumba at a record-breaking price in the auctions.

The top five earners of Pro Kabaddi League Auction are:

 Monu Goyat (1.51 crore)

Rahul Chaudhary (1.29 crore)

 Deepak Hooda and Nitin Tomar (1.15 crore)

Rishank Devadiga (1.11 crore).

 Worth mention here Atrachali went into the auction at a base price of Rs. 20 Lakhs, but afterward he was carried by U Mumba at a five times more price.

Atrachali ‘s Iranian counterpart, Abozar went to Telugu Titans for Rs 76 Lakhs.

The Defender Ziaur Rahman was the third highest bid player in the auctions who was brought by Bengal Warriors for Rs. 33.25 Lakhs.

The Pro Kabaddi League Auction 2018 witnessed player representation from 14 other countries including Iran, Bangladesh, Japan, Kenya, Republic of Korea, Malaysia, and Sri Lanka.

The two-day auction will mark the first event for Season VI. In which the all franchises coming together to build their teams. On a related note Out of the 12 franchises, nine have chosen their Elite Retained Players yesterday and the remaining three will make their teams from nick. (NT)
