Hyderabad: The seventh season of the Pro Kabaddi League will begin today at the Gachibowli Stadium in Hyderabad. The match will be played between U Mumba and Telugu Titans.  The session, which will run till October 19, will be held in 12 cities across the country. A total of 72 matches will be played in Hyderabad, Patna, Mumbai, Ahmedabad, Chennai, Delhi, Bengaluru, Kolkata, Pune, Jaipur, Panchkula, and Greater Noida.

The playoff space has not yet been decided. In the seventh season too, 12 teams will play, and each team will play 4-4 games in their domestic stage. The second match of the day will be played between defending champions Bengaluru Bulls and three-time winner Patna Pirates at the Gachibowli Stadium in Hyderabad. On the eve of the league's opening, Bengaluru captain Rohit Kumar put up the trophy. The captains of all the 12 teams expressed their views on the occasion. After the success of the last 6 seasons, the organizers have decided to hold the league in a new format this time around.

Time and broadcast of matches:

PKL's live broadcast will be on Star Sports 1 and Star Sports 1 HD. Its live streaming will also be available on Hotstar. The first match will begin at 7.30 PM while the second match will be played at 8.30 PM.
