Vibha Chibber is known for her characters in TV shows and films like Sapna Babul Ka...Bidaai, Tera Yaar Hoon Mein and Amma Ke Babu Ki Baby. She loves her art but is currently not happy with the way the TV industry is working.
Talking about it she said, "One thing that I have noted for a while now is that some production houses have been selecting people on the basis of their social media followers. If they have a good amount of followers then they get the role. In fact, there have been times when I have seen that the actor is not able to say even some lines in front of the camera and yet they are chosen to play the role. It's an actor's job to act and not everyone can do that. It's a sad place to be. Fortunately, there are still some producers who don't work like that and they value a person's craft and acting skills, and consider that while casting them."
Personally, though, she hasn't faced a problem so far. However, she has seen some other actors suffer because they haven't focused much on their social media. She says, "I have not lost out on work due to followers till now. I am the least active person on social media and I don't post anything about my life or daily routine like others. I am happy that the people I have worked with so far are interested in my acting and not my followers. But I really feel bad for youngsters who face these issues. They feel that one's following is important and hence they tend to focus too much on that and get pressure to post about anything and everything about their life."
Vibha has worked on different mediums including films, OTT and television, but she still enjoys performing in theatre, sharing her experience, she says, "I started my journey with theatre and I still like doing that. With TV, there are long hours of shoot. In the case of OTT and films, one gets more scope for performance. These are a few things I have noticed while working on all of these mediums."
