'Hydrogen Man' Padma Shri Omkarnath Srivastava, lost his life due to corona

New Delhi: Corona has put the lives of many people in the country at stake. Padmashri Omkarnath Srivastava, professor of physics at Banaras Hindu University, famous all over the country for hydrogen energy and nanoscience, passed away from Corona. He was admitted to Sir Sundarlal Hospital in BHU for treatment after being hit by coronavirus on April 20. He had been having trouble breathing since Saturday morning.

Renowned BHU physicist Omkarnath Srivastava was hit by coronavirus on April 20 after which he was admitted to Sir Sundarlal Hospital in BHU for treatment. It is reported that he had been having breathing problems since early morning the previous day after which his health deteriorated and he succumbed to his injuries. He was felicitated at Raja Harishchandra Ghat in Varanasi with state honors on Sunday.

He was presently posted as a professor in the Physics Department of BHU. He was also awarded the country's highest Peace Savarup Bhatnagar Award for his rare contribution to the field of science. On the other hand, the missile man had taken information from the Hydrogen Man about the hydrogen cars and trains made by him, after which Prof. Srivastava came into the limelight.
