New Delhi: A few days ago, Union Railway Minister Piyush Goyal appealed to Bollywood to use the vast network of Indian Railways to promote their films. This will benefit both. Akshay Kumar's film Housefull 4 became the first film to be promoted in the railway. In view of this, many Bollywood filmmakers have started applying for booking this train for the publicity of their upcoming films. These include upcoming films such as Salman Khan's 'Dabangg 3' and Deepika Padukone's 'Chhapak'.

Troubled by the increasing marketing expenses of the film, filmgoers joined the train. He has got so much sibling the train 'On Wheels', the new promotion of the railways, he has started preferring this train instead of TV to promote his upcoming films. Railways are constantly making new experiments to recover losses from passenger trains. An example of this is the corporate train 'Tejas' run between Lucknow and Delhi in collaboration with the private sector after semi high speed 'Vande Bharat'. These trains have started turning the losses of passenger trains into profits.

Encouraged by this success, the Railways has decided to launch a new series of trains called 'Promotion on Wheels' for the parties interested in promoting cultural, artistic and sports activities. And the train has received a very encouraging response from Bollywood producers. According to railway officials, the first 'promotion on wheel' train has earned a net profit of Rs 20 lakhs, with the Railways earning Rs 53 lakhs. This amount includes Rs 38 lakh of haulage fee and Rs 18 lakh for wrapping the vinyl film. Due to the need of only eight coaches, the railway had to spend relatively less amount on fuel and maintenance than the normal mail-express train of 22-24 coaches on this train.
