Paris: The anger of the people in the country is increasing after the brutal killing of a teacher in the cartoon controversy of Prophet Mohammad in France. In the French city of Montpellier and Toulouse, disputed cartoons of the Holy Prophet are displayed on the projector on the walls of several hotels to pay tribute to the late teacher. Not only this, large-scale armed police has been deployed in the city for its protection. Along with this, cartoons of Prophet Mohammed, Jesus Christ and other saints of other religions are also being shown at hotels in France.
Carroll Delga, President of the Ossiténée region of France, on Wednesday announced to show the cartoon on Twitter. He said that this cartoon would be shown to pay tribute to teacher Samuel Patty. While teaching a lesson of freedom of expression in France, Samuel Patty was strangled by a Chechen-origin Islamic terrorist on October 16 while showing his students a cartoon of Prophet Mohammed.
Delga defended this decision, supporting the showing of the cartoon. It said that this is a 'strong step' which reflects the values of our Republic. Delga said that apart from this symbolic step, I want to send a message to my fellow citizens that there will be no compromise with secularism, freedom of expression and freedom of conscience. This is the life of the model of our Republic. '
