Demonstrations are going on at Jantar Mantar in protest against the Citizenship Amendment Act, National Citizenship Register, and National Census Register in Delhi, capital of India. A petition has been filed in the Supreme Court seeking to instruct the officials to carefully monitor the content and speeches of political leaders and prominent speakers in the ongoing protests on the Kalindi Kunj-Shaheen Bagh road. So that hatred against the central government can be stopped, especially those who talk about the partition of India.
The petition has been filed by advocate Amit Sahni. He has already filed a petition against the closure of Kalindi Kunj-Shaheen Bagh road. In the new petition, Sahni has also mentioned the provocative speeches of JNU student Sharjeel Imam on which a case of treason has been registered.
A man who entered the protesters in Shaheen Bagh, waving a gun, has asked them to withdraw and if they do not do so, they threaten a bad result. During this, there was a ruckus. However, a crowd of people took him under his control and the matter then settled down. Police have seized the gun.
