Ruckus erupts over immersion of statue in Munger, protestors set fire to police station

Patna: There has been a ruckus over immersion of the idol of Goddess Durga in Munger, Bihar today. Angry protestors have set fire to Pubara Sarai police station. Hundreds of youths took to the streets to protest against the violence during the statue immersion. The protesters then reached the Superintendent of Police office. On reaching office, people created a ruckus.

Initial reports reveal that hundreds of youths protested at the Superintendent of Police office. The youth also threw out the board in front of the police office. After this, a crowd of protesting youths reached the East Sarai police station and set the car in front of the police station on fire. These people are agitating against the police administration and are also demanding action by registering a case of murder on the guilty policemen including suspension of SP Lipi Singh of Munger.

The youth of Munger have taken to the streets to protest against the atrocities of the police during the immersion of Durga statue. The situation in Munger has become completely uncontrollable and the police forces already deployed on the streets have been hiding here and there to save their lives. No official information is being provided in this matter.
