JAIPUR: In her address to the members of the Rajasthan Assembly, President Droupadi Murmu emphasized the importance of collective responsibility for the progress of our nation and society. She urged public representatives to move beyond the focus on "me or mine" and embrace the concept of "ours." This call for unity and shared purpose was made during the resumed eighth session of the Rajasthan Assembly, which had commenced on January 23 and adjourned sine die on March 21. As the session was not prorogued, Speaker C P Joshi reconvened it.

President Murmu highlighted the influential role that leaders play in inspiring people to emulate their actions. She emphasized the significance of leaders' contributions to the country, state, society, women, and youth. It is imperative for public representatives not only to exhibit behavior that is centered around the welfare of the people but also to cultivate thoughts that align with this perspective.

In her address, President Murmu stressed that the development of our country and society cannot be achieved if individuals solely prioritize their own interests. She urged everyone to reflect on their contributions to the people who entrusted them with their responsibilities. Governor Kalraj Mishra and Speaker Joshi also delivered speeches in the House, reinforcing the importance of collective action.

President Murmu's visit to Rajasthan and Madhya Pradesh from July 13 to 15 includes a seminar organized by the Rajasthan Legislative Assembly in collaboration with the Commonwealth Parliamentary Association. The President is scheduled to address the seminar in the evening, as stated in a Rashtrapati Bhavan statement.
