Puducherry: 101 new cases of coronavirus have been registered in the Union Territory of Puducherry in the last 24 hours and with this, the number of people found infected in Puducherry has increased to 1,25,618 so far. Out of these, 58 cases have been registered from Puducherry, 34 cases from Karaikal, one case from Yanam and eight from Mahe. Active cases have gone up to 922 in the Union Territory, out of which 142 patients are in hospitals and 780 patients are in home isolation.

The Health Director said that in the last 24 hours, 46 patients have recovered from coronavirus, taking the total number of healthy patients to 1,22,864. No one lost their lives in Puducherry, Karaikal, Mahe and Yanam, leaving the total number of dead at 1,828. He said the transition rate is 1.85 percent, while the recovery rate of the deceased and people is 1.46 percent and 97.81 percent respectively. The department has so far vaccinated 9,23,763 people.

Let us tell you that 26,115 new cases of corona infection have been registered in the country, with the total number of corona patients in the country now at 3,35,04,534. While the death toll from infection has reached 4,45,385 after the death of 252 patients during this period.
