Puducherry: 59 new cases of corona virus have been reported in the union territory of Puducherry in the last 24 hours, with the total number of epidemic cases rising to 1,26,367. With this, 57 people have recovered from the corona. The total number of recovering patients in the state has gone up to 1,23,697. Not a single patient has died of corona here in the last 24 hours.

Sriramulu informed that 28 new cases have been registered in Puducherry, 24 in Karaikal, five in Mahe and two in Yemen. No one died of this infection during the last 24 hours until Thursday 10 a.m. The death toll here remains at 1,840. He said that with the recovery of 57 people in the Union Territory, the number of people who have been infection-free so far has gone up to 1,23,697. There are currently 830 corona patients in the region taking treatment.

The Director, Department of Health informed that the infection rate in the Union Territory is 1.14 percent, while the death rate and recovery rates are 1.46 percent and 97.89 percent. So far 10,03,013 doses of the corona vaccine have been administered in Puducherry.
