Puducherry: N Rangasamy, the Chief Minister of Puducherry and the founder of the AINRC, stated on Monday that the government of Union Territory (Puducherry) has requested an additional Rs 2,000 crore allocation from the Centre for development projects.

On the AINRC's 12th formation day, Rangasamy unfurled the party's flag and distributed sweets at the party office. He predicted that Puducherry would make significant development with Prime Minister Narendra Modi's help. He told reporters, "We have demanded Rs 2000 crore more for Puducherry to implement out developmental activities."

He said that procedures had been taken to fill empty government positions. "With the people's support and the NDA government's collaboration at the centre, Puducherry is on track to become the most developed Union Territory." During the founding day, all of the AINRC's ministers and lawmakers, as well as delegates from other wings of the party, were present.

Rangasamy split from Congress in 2011 and launched the AINRC party on February 7 of that year.
