Pune: A family who had gone to Panshet Dam to celebrate independence day holiday met with a dangerous accident. In fact, the Deshpande family, a resident of Saturday Peth in Pune, had arrived at the dam on August 15 to celebrate the holiday. But the tyre of his car burst to cause the car to go out of control and fall directly into the dam. A woman has died in the incident. While the woman's husband and her son have been safely rescued.

The incident took place in the afternoon when the family was returning. Seeing the condition of the car sinking in Panshet Dam, Yogesh, who was driving the car, and his son sitting next to him jumped out. People nearby also rushed to help when they saw the car drowning in the dam. He pulled Yogesh Deshpande and his son out of the dam. A man jumped into the water from a nearby hotel and tied a rope to the tyre of the car which prevented the car from sinking completely.

An attempt was made to remove Yogesh's wife too, but it was not that easy. Due to this, the rear glass of the car was broken and then Samriddhi Deshpande was pulled out. After which he was rushed to the hospital. Where doctors declared him brought dead. On 15th August, the Deshpande family had come to visit Panshet. He had also had breakfast at one place after a day's fun. Yogesh was driving a car while returning to Pune around 2 pm when the accident took place.
