Pune: About 20 LPG cylinders started bursting one after the other in the Katraj area of Pune in Maharashtra. According to information, around 100 LPG cylinders of Gandharva Lawns were illegally put together in the Katraj area of Pune. Suddenly there was an explosion in one cylinder, after which the other started exploding in about 20 cylinders. 

Six fire tenders of the Pune Municipal Corporation rushed to the spot and the fire was brought under control. One person suffered minor injuries in the incident. Apart from this, there was also a lot of loss in the surrounding area. Earlier on Monday, a fire was reported in a house in Delhi's Ranjit Nagar area when an LPG cylinder exploded. Two teenagers were burned in the incident. According to the information, the members of the house smelled of the cylinder leaking, so they have taken out the regulator from the cylinder. However, they later lit a matchstick that caught fire.

Prior to the incident, an explosion took place in an LGP cylinder in Malda, West Bengal on Saturday, in which a three-year-old boy lost his life. A police officer said, "The incident took place at Jadapur Nayagram village under Kaliachak police station. A child named Tabrez Shaikh was playing in the kitchen and the gas cylinder exploded."
