Patiala: After killing his own special friend, he tried to burn his body in a tandoor and when he did not succeed in it, he chopped the body into pieces and buried it in the ground. The shocking incident took place in the Sadar police station area of Patiala in Punjab. Punjab Police DSP Rajesh Kumar Chhibber informed that the accused has been arrested. He has revealed the whole incident in the interrogation.
A police official said that Daljit Singh (19), a resident of Gali No. 7 of Kartar Colony, is accused in the crime and had killed his friend Kanda Ram (18). In fact, both of them used to drink and both of them came back after getting treatment from the de-addiction center. Two days ago, when the two were sitting in Daljit's house, they had an argument and in a fit of rage, Daljit killed him. He then tried to burn the body in the old tandoor placed on the roof. When he could not completely burn the body, he had cut the corpses into pieces and buried them in the ground near the house.
Police said that when Kanda ram did not return home, his family members had lodged a complaint with the police stating that they had last seen him with Daljeet. When the police interrogated Daljit strictly, he came across the whole matter. A police official said, tandoor, the weapon used to cut the body into pieces has been recovered from Daljit's house. Pieces of the body were recovered from the accused by digging the land and it was delivered for post-mortem. It is said that the accused Daljit was alone at home and his mother works in another city.
