Amritsar: Punjab's Special Chief Secretary KBS Sidhu told the media on Sunday that the 42-year-old coronavirus test positive in Dera Bassi Tehsil of Mohali district has no positive travel history. He said that the person has a bakery and his 2 workers met some of the people who had returned from Nizamuddin's Tablighi Jamaat Markaz in March.

It is noteworthy that so far 68 people have been infected with the Coronavirus in Punjab. Also, there was a sad news from Amritsar in Punjab that an elderly couple had committed suicide on Friday due to fear of getting infected by the Coronavirus. Police had informed that the body of Balwinder Singh (57) and his wife Gurjinder Kaur (55) has been recovered from their house in Sathiala village. Both committed suicide on suspicion of having a coronavirus infection.

The cases of coronavirus infection in the country have increased to 3,374 on Sunday and the number of dead has reached 77. According to data from the Union Ministry of Health, 3,030 people are still infected with the coronavirus, while 266 people have recovered and have been discharged from hospital and another person has gone to another country.
