Chandigarh: Punjab is going to have a cabinet expansion tomorrow (Monday) with the Punjab government making 5 MLAs ministers to be part of the cabinet soon. It is being said that with the induction of more ministers, the number of ministers in the Punjab cabinet will reach 15, including the chief minister. After a resounding victory in this year's assembly elections and the formation of the Aam Aadmi Party government in the state, 10 MLAs were inducted as ministers in the Bhagwant Mann-led cabinet. The Bhagwant Mann government in Punjab will have a cabinet expansion. According to sources, these five MLAs will take oath on Monday.
According to sources, these 5 MLAs may become ministers:-
1- Dr Inderbir Singh Najjar, MLA from Amritsar South
2- Aman Arora, second-time MLA from Sunam seat in Sangrur
3- Fauja Singh Sarari, MLA from Guru Har Sahai
4- Chetan Singh MLA from Jodamajra, Samana, Patiala
5- Anmol Gagan Mann, MLA from Kharad
In May, Health Minister Vijay Singla was sacked from the state cabinet on corruption charges. Since then, the health department is with Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann. Now on Monday i.e. July 4, at 5 pm, the Bhagwant Mann cabinet will be expanded. Now the cabinet strength will be 15 including the CM. The Cabinet has a total strength of 18 ministers. At present, there are 9 Ministers in the Punjab Cabinet.
