Amritsar: The list of ministers of the new cabinet of Punjab has been finalised. 5 ministers of Captain Amarinder Singh faction have been discharged. With this, 8 ministers have returned to the cabinet. At the same time, 7 new ministers have been included in the new cabinet. After finalizing the list of ministers, Rahul Gandhi has reached back to Shimla. He had come to Delhi from Shimla to hold the meeting. CM Charanjit Channi has also returned to Punjab. After which he met Governor BL Purohit. Coming out, CM Channi said that tomorrow ie Sunday evening at 4.30 pm, there will be a swearing-in ceremony of all the ministers. Earlier, CM Charanjit Singh Channi and Sukhjinder Randhawa and OP Soni were sworn in as Deputy Chief Ministers. Sadhu Singh Dharamsot, Balvir Sidhu, Rana Gurmeet Sodhi, Gurpreet Kangar and Sunder Sham Arora have not been kept in the new cabinet from the Captain's cabinet.

Manpreet Badal, Vijayendra Singla, Razia Sultana, Brahm Mohindra, Aruna Chaudhary, Bharat Bhushan Ashu, Tript Rajinder Bajwa and Sukh Sarkaria are returning to the Punjab cabinet.
Manpreet Badal was instrumental in persuading the Congress high command in the name of Channi. It was during the education minister of Vijayendra Singla that Punjab came to number one in schools. At the same time, Razia Sultana is the wife of Sidhu's strategic advisor Muhammad Mustafa. There was a preparation to remove Aruna Chaudhary too, but due to her kinship with CM Channi, she got a ministerial post.
