Chandigarh: Who will be the new Chief Minister of Punjab after the resignation of Punjab CM Captain Amarinder Singh? The brainstorming is going on. A meeting was held late in the night between Punjab Congress in-charge Harish Rawat, Punjab Congress President Navjot Singh Sidhu and central observers at JW Marriott hotel in Chandigarh. According to sources, a group of Pro-Navjot Singh Sidhu and Sidhu MLAs want the CM of the Jat Sikh community. Without naming Navjot Singh Sidhu, some pro-Sidhu Sikh MLAs held a late-night discussion with Priyanka Gandhi and demanded that only a Jat Sikh be made a chief minister in Punjab or the party may suffer in the coming elections.

At the same time, Captain Amarinder Singh's Chief Principal Secretary Suresh Kumar and Advocate General Atul Nanda resigned from their posts.
