In the Indian state of Punjab, on Monday, a patient suffering from corona died. This is the eighth death in the province from Corona. At the same time, with 11 new cases, the number of victims in the state has increased to 79. According to the report released by the state government, on Monday, four people were found positive in SAS Nagar Mohali, 2 in Fatehgarh Sahib, 2 in Ropar and 1-1 in Amritsar, Kapurthala and Ludhiana.

The 65-year-old patient died in Amritsar. Out of the four people who have been found positive in Mohali, one person has returned from taking part in the Tablighi Jamaat in Delhi, while the other three were in contact with this Jamaati. Apart from these, four people who were found positive in Ludhiana, Kapurthala, Fatehgarh Sahib on Monday have also returned by taking part in Tabligi Jamaat. The three new cases reported in Ropar and Amritsar were in contact with the infected.

In order to prevent virus infection, samples of 2384 people were sent in the state till Monday for investigation. Out of these, samples of 1994 people have been found negative. Of the 79 people coronated in the state, eight have died so far. So far, only four patients in the state have recovered from beating Corona.
