Amritsar: While the pollution crisis in Delhi-NCR continues to grow, politics also intensified at this issue. In Punjab, the tussle between the farmer and the government continues. Instead of a solution, political parties are not leaving the slightest way to blame each other for Delhi's condition. In Punjab, farmers are being blamed for burning stubble. Farmers claim that they have not received any assistance from the government so far.

The government has claimed that panchayats in Punjab fill forms, which can also be filled up by farmers who do not burn stubble. Rajpal Singh, a 50-year-old farmer from Ferozepur, had not burnt paddy straw last year but was not informed about any form to be filled up to apply for compensation. Jagjit Singh from Faridkot said that if the government was really serious about compensation, they should have informed us about it. Many farmers were unaware when questions were raised about the government's plan for compensation.

Dilip Singh, a farmer from Ferozepur, said that he will not burn stubble this year, but he does not know whom to contact for compensation. Surjit Singh, a farmer from Faridkot, said that there was a lot of damage in the past. This year, he is considering burning paddy because he does not want to suffer as he did last year.
