Amritsar: In recent times, a vaccine is the only weapon in the corona period, which helps in preventing the seriousness of the corona. In such a situation, the state and central governments are constantly trying to get more and more people vaccinated at the earliest. In the same vein, the Punjab government has decided that government employees who have not taken a single dose of vaccine to sent on leave from today onwards.

However, the decision will not apply to people who have not been vaccinated due to a disease. The tough decision was announced by CM Amarinder Singh to protect the people of the state from getting infected and ensure that vaccinated people do not have to pay for the mistakes of those who do not get vaccinated. CM Amarinder said at a high-level meeting on Friday that according to data, it clearly shows that the vaccine is effective.

CM Amarinder further said that several special efforts are being made to vaccinate government employees and those who are not getting the vaccine will be sent on leave till the first dose of the vaccine is administered. Teachers and other staff who had overdosed on the vaccine before four weeks will also be allowed to return to duty, but they will have to submit negative RTPCR test reports on a weekly basis.
