Sohan Singh Gill, a resident of village Dutta in Hoshiarpur district of Punjab, has done something similar, which has surprised everyone by getting an MA English degree at the age of 83. Sohan Singh Gill says that he often felt that his studies were incomplete, to complete which he decided to do MA in English and completed 61 years old aspiration.

Born on 15 August 1936 in Datta, Sohan Singh Gill started his education from Pandori Ganga Singh, got his tenth education from Mahilpur and then completed his BA from Khalsa College Mahilpur. In 1958, at the request of the Vice Principal of his college, he decided to pursue an MA, but suddenly he got married and went abroad with his wife. After working there, he came to his country after 60 years, but the words of his Vice-Principal were stuck somewhere in his mind.

In the year 2018, he started preparing for the MA and got a degree from Lovely professional University. Sohan Singh has a son who lives with his family abroad. According to Gill, both of them are alone in the village and they survive on Gills pension. According to Sohan Singh Gill, there is no age to study, he wished to complete his education and he achieved it with full 67% marks.
