Jalandhar: A police team who rushed to arrest drug traffickers in Jalandhar district of Punjab has been reported to have pelted stones. The smugglers pelted stones at the police. However, police have arrested four smugglers with the help of villagers. The police first hurled stones at the police who arrived to arrest the drug traffickers. After which the police had to work hard for two hours to arrest the smugglers.
The police had to take the help of the villagers, and four smugglers were arrested. The smugglers recovered sharp weapons including intoxicating powder, capsules. DSP Davinder Atri informed that we received a tip-off that the drug smuggler and Gurbind Ginda along with three of their colleagues were hiding in the whole of Mohalla Santokh. After which the team proceeded to raid. The four smugglers alerted and climbed onto the roof of the house when the police came to the house. After which they started pelting stones at the police personnel.
After which the police planned and caught the four smugglers with the help of villagers. The incident lasted for about two hours after police arrested all four smugglers and are now in the process of presenting them in court.
