New Delhi: After suffering a 17-run defeat in the Indian Premier League (IPL 2022) match against Delhi Capitals (DC), Punjab Kings (PBKS) captain Mayank Agarwal has said that his team had to bear the brunt of losing several wickets from the 5th to 10th over. After scoring 159 for seven, Delhi bundled out Punjab for 142 for nine.

Chasing the target, The Punjab team lost six wickets between the fifth and tenth overs. For Delhi, Kuldeep took two wickets for 14 runs in just three overs, while Shardul took 4 wickets while bowling his best of the IPL. Mayank said at the post-match awards ceremony, "We didn't bat well today, the team lost a lot of wickets between five and 10 overs and that was the reason for our defeat. This wicket was not that bad and we should have achieved this target. We have yet to play one more game, we would like to get two points by playing good cricket. We need to rethink our strategy.''

Delhi has won two back-to-back matches for the first time in IPL 2022, while after this defeat, the battle of the playoffs has become even more difficult for Punjab. Punjab now has one match left if the team can win it, it will be able to reach only 14 points.
