The video of this incident is going viral in which players of both teams can be seen attacking each other with hockey. Punjab Police players are in red jerseys and Punjab National Bank players are present in white jerseys.

In the video, Punjab Police players are seen as more aggressive. They are chasing PNB players with a hockey stick in hand. A PNB player has fallen to the ground and is seen beating him with a hockey stick. However, the match continued later and 8-8 players from both teams were on the field. PNB won the bout 6-3. Angered by the players' behavior, Indian Olympic Association President Narinder Batra has demanded strict action against the teams and their management.

He said, 'Responsible teams and their careless management. Such players and weak and no backbone organizing committees have spoiled the name of the game. This has seen the image of the game deteriorated. I request Hockey India to take the harshest action against them. Hockey India CEO Alina Norman said, "We are waiting for the official report of the tournament. Based on this, Hockey India will take the necessary steps.
