Amritsar: The Shiromani Gurdwara Prabandhak Committee (SGPC) has now decided to take action on the Christian conversion of Sikhs in Punjab. The institute has initiated a case against it. In fact, in recent times, there have been several videos on social media that have revealed that Sikhs have been harassed by Christian missionaries and included in their agreements. Many Sikh politicians have also attended Christian programmes.

It may be recalled that recently there was a lot of criticism of the Sikh religious institution SGPC on this issue. People say that SGPC did nothing in view of the dangers of Christian conversion in Punjab and remained inactive. There was also a constant cry to save Sikhism. Now SGPC has launched the 'Door-to-Door Dharmasal' campaign. The process by which Christian preachers are harassing Sikhs will now be used to save Sikhism.

At the same time, traditional mediums are also being used for this purpose. Special emphasis is being laid in the rural areas of the state. SGPC chief Bibi Jagir Kaur said that the campaign will not only strengthen the faith of Sikhs in their religion but will also make Sikh youth proud of their history and culture. According to media reports, 150 teams from SGPC have been sent to different rural areas under the campaign.
