Pathankot: The discovery of the bodies of two youths in Ravi river in Pathankot, Punjab has created a sensation in the entire area. The two youths were missing for the past two days whose disappearance was reported to police station Narot Jaimal Singh. The deceased have been identified as Sanjeev Kumar and Ajay Kumar Gugra. On receiving information about the discovery of the body, Pritam Singh, in-charge of police station Narot Jaimal Singh and Tarsem Singh, in-charge of Bamiyal police post, rushed to the spot along with the team. Police have seized the bodies and started investigation.
According to reports, two youths were recovered in Ravi river near Gugra village near Narot Jaimal Singh in Pathankot. Both are said to be between 24 and 25 years of age. Injury marks have been found on the deceased body which is feared to have been murdered by the family members. Pritam Singh, in-charge of police station Narot Jaimal Singh, said that Rishi pal, father of deceased Sanjeev Kumar, had come to the police station on Thursday and lodged a missing complaint soon after which the last location of the mobile of the deceased Sanjeet was ascertained by the police which was reporting the kidi area near Ravi Darya.
A search was launched by the family members in collaboration with the police for the missing youths. The bodies of the two missing youths were recovered from a 100-metre on the Ravi darya bank around 7 pm on Friday. The bodies have been sent postmortem and handed over to the family members. A case has been registered and investigation is underway.
