Nawanshahr: A motorcycle-borne youth supposedly rushed a police constable's weapon after injuring him with a knife here today, police told to reporter. Raj Kumar, SHO added, “Constable Sukhdev Singh was getting petrol filled in his motorbike at a pump here, when the accused attacked him with a knife and made off with his carbine”

“The injured policeman has been admitted to the local civil hospital”, he said.

The SHO said, “ CCTV footage was being scanned to trace the culprit, against whom a case had been registered under relevant provisions of the law.”
