Recently a case has been registered against controversial Punjabi singer Sidhu Musewala for violating curfew. A DSP has been suspended. This action has been taken after the video of the singer went viral on social media at a shooting range in Sangrur, Punjab and a case was also registered against five other policemen.

These policemen were reportedly posted in the range by the DSP. Punjabi singers were seen shooting in the shooting range in the video. This video has come at a time when the lockdown is applicable in the entire state to deal with the coronavirus epidemic.

A press release said that this action has been taken on the instructions of Director General of Police (DGP) Dinkar Gupta. The DGP has ordered the suspension of DSP (Headquarters) Daljit Singh Virk of Sangrur with immediate effect. With this, the release said that a case has been registered under Section 188 of the IPC and Section 51 of the Disaster Management Act at Dhanula Police Station.
