Punjab's budget to be paperless, CM Bhagwant Mann says - 814 trees and 34 tonnes of paper will be saved

Amritsar: TheBhagwant Mann government of Pt. Jab will present a paperless budget this time. This has been announced by the state's CM Bhagwant Mann. He described it as a step towards e-governance. He wrote that this would save about Rs 21 lakh and 34 tonnes of paper of the treasury. CM Bhagwant Mann tweeted, "There is a good news in the name of Punjabis. Our government has decided that this time the budget of the Punjab government will be paperless, it will save about Rs 21 lakh of the treasury, 34 tonnes of paper will be left, that means close to 814-834 trees will be left, another step towards e-governance. ' 

The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP)-led Bhagwant Mann government in Punjab is continuously taking decisions on the lines of the Kejriwal government in Delhi. Earlier, private schools in Punjab were banned from increasing fees and no school would press for buying books and dresses from any particular shop, orders were also issued.   Let us know that earlier, the Arvind Kejriwal government of Delhi had announced a paperless budget.

Let us know that the proceedings of the two budget sessions in the Delhi Assembly went on without paper. All the documents there were laid on the Table of the House only in the form of e-papers. Delhi Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia had said that a provision of Rs 20 crore has been made to enable the proceedings of the House to be conducted digitally. For this, e-pads have been given to each MLA.
