As an effort to win the confidence of people in the  police department, district SP Kanwar Vishal Singh on Sunday launched a 24×7 call centre number to address the common people grievances. The 5T call centre number 7653891930 has been announced to address the grievance. Public should call on the number or send message or Whatsapp the same number. 

Any grievance lodged through WhatsApp on the number will be responded to and complainant will be contacted at the earliest. The grievances will be communicated to the SP within 24 hours for necessary steps, said a police department official.

A communication centre has also been opened in District Police Office, Puri where female staff will be on duty from 10 am to 6 pm. DSP HRPC Manobrata Satpathy will act as nodal officer for grievance redressal. She will be assisted by Inspector HRPC the first responder to the grievances coming to DPO or lodged at 5T call centre number. Puri police drew negative remarks recently over alleged two custodial deaths that led to the transfer of  SP and posting of Kanwar Vishal Singh.
