There are preparations for Dhanteras throughout the country today in full swing and all are celebrating Dhanteras with great zeal. The Triadshi – third day of the Krishna Paksha is called 'Dhanteras' and it is also called 'Dhanvantri Triodashi'.

In this way, we are going to tell you what things to overlook for Dhanteras. On Dhanteras goddess Laxmi, Kuber and Lord Dhanvantri of Dhanas and Dhumar are worshiped. The day marks the start of the Diwali in homes. In this way, from the day of Dhanteras the lamp starts burning in the houses and they all burn deeply lighted the homes from this day.

It is said that on this day people burn lamp in the houses for their ancestors, but the tradition of burning a empty lamp on Dhanteras is inauspicious. on Dhanteras only by pouring oil or ghee in the lamp  is considered inauspicious and with this we should be added grains like rice, rice, millet or sugar in the burning lamp because it is considered very auspicious.

So lit the first lamp with bit of grains and enjoy the prosperity, happiness with lots of peace on the occasion of 'Dhanteras'
