TOKYO: India's top badminton player PV Sindhu will now want to end her title drought in the Japan Open BWF World Tour Super 750 tournament after losing the final of the Indonesia Open. Saina Nehwal will also return from the same tournament which she failed to compete in the Indonesia Open Super 1000 due to fitness problems.

Sindhu could not end her seven-month title drought after losing to Japan's Akan Yamaguchi in the final of Indonesia Open in Jakarta on Sunday. She would like to compete for the tightrope in Japan where her campaign will start against China's Han Yue.

If Sindhu wins the first round, she will face Christie Gilmore of Scotland or Aya Ohori of Japan in the second round. The fifth-seeded Indian could take revenge on Yamaguchi in Indonesia in the quarterfinals of the tournament where Sindhu will face the fourth-seeded player. Eighth seed Saina Nehwal is the only Indian to win the title in the current season. She will clash with Thailand's Busanan Ongburungpan at the beginning of her campaign. Saina's winning record against this player is 3-1.

In the opening round of the men's singles, two top Indian players will face India. While HS Prannoy will challenge eighth seed Kidambi Srikanth.
