Indian badminton star two-time Olympic medallist PV Sindhu has made it to the quarterfinals of the Syed Modi International Badminton Tournament. She has managed to advance to the last 8 by defeating Lauren Lam of the United States in straight sets in the second round of the women's singles. Sindhu was given the top basis in the tournament and has started the tournament in the same fashion. PV Sindhu has also easily clinched the second round after winning the first round.
The Indian has won against the US rival in just 33 minutes. She defeated Lauren Lam 21-16,21-13 in straight sets. In the first match of the tournament, she defeated Tanya Hemant 21-9, 21-9.
