Panaji: The uproar over the upcoming assembly elections in the states has increased considerably, while the political turmoil in Goa has intensified ahead of the assembly elections. On the one hand, former CM Manohar Parrikar's son Utpal Parrikar has raised the beats of political parties while PWD Minister Deepak Pouskar has resigned. The suspense over whether Utpal Parrikar will continue in the BJP or quit the party will also end today. Utpal has announced the Press Conference. In which they will give news about their decision.

On Thursday, BJP released its list of 34 candidates for the Goa Assembly elections. Utpal Parrikar's name is not included in the list. Utpal Panaji was asking for tickets from the area. When asked about this, CM Pramod Sawant said that the party has offered to contest two seats in the upcoming elections in consultation with Utpal Parrikar, son of former CM late Manohar Parrikar. BJP national leader Utpal is in contact with Parrikar and has offered to contest from two seats in Goa. I am confident that they will accept this offer.

Another minister has resigned from the Goa cabinet on Friday. Public Works Department (PWD) Minister Deepak Pouskar resigned as MLA Sanvordem. The political turmoil has increased since the information about his resignation came to light. There are a variety of questions in the political corridors. Goa will go to polls on 14th February and results will be out on 10th March.
